README

@avadisabelle/ava-pde

The pde_submit tool for pi, loaded by miaco decompose run -e pva.

miaco passes the JSON Schema it expects for a decomposition through --pde-schema. The extension registers pde_submit with that schema as its parameters, so:

  • pi checks the arguments against the schema before the tool runs, and a malformed decomposition goes back to the model with the validation error;
  • providers that support it constrain the tool call to the schema (constrainedSampling: json_schema, strict: "prefer");
  • the tool result ends the run, so there is no extra turn after the submit.

Without --pde-schema it registers nothing.

pi --no-extensions -e npm:@avadisabelle/ava-pde \
   --pde-schema "$(cat schema.json)" \
   --tools read,grep,find,ls,pde_submit \
   --mode json -p "Decompose: …"

The decomposition arrives in the tool_execution_end event for pde_submit, as result.details.

This package has no runtime dependencies, which lets mia-co depend on it directly. The widgets do not work for this, because @avadisabelle/ava-widgets depends on mia-co.
