README
Agents RC for Pi
Connects existing Pi sessions to an Agents RC host for live text snapshots, prompt steering, stop, and Yes/No confirmations. It never starts another agent session or automatically approves a dialog.
Install and configure
Requires Pi and Node.js 22.19+. From a checkout, run npm run build:host at the repository root first (requires Bun), then install the extension:
pi install /absolute/path/to/rc/pi-extension
A published version can be installed with pi install npm:@derogab/pi-rc. Use only one installation source, then run /reload in existing sessions. Published packages do not include a host binary; they need a separately running host.
Open /rc → Setup to select trusted interfaces and view the phone token privately. In a built checkout, Pi starts or reuses the local host automatically.
- Enable/Disable toggles remote control for this session;
/rc onand/rc offare shortcuts. - Status shows connection information without credentials.
- Off survives reload/resume and shows disconnected in the footer. New sessions default to On.
Use only a trusted LAN/VPN or HTTPS. Keep the token private; HTTP does not encrypt it or your messages. See setup and host operation for configuration and troubleshooting.
Development
Run npm test from this directory. Repository-wide checks and publishing instructions are in the project documentation.
